Privacy policy
How ForgeLyte Aura handles your information, and the choices you have.
Effective September 13, 2026
Your diary is stored on your device by default. iCloud sync and location-based weather are optional. No Aura account is required.
About this policy
ForgeLyte provides ForgeLyte Aura, a personal migraine diary, and this website at aura.forgelyte.com. This policy explains the information processed when you use them. For privacy questions, contact support@forgelyte.com.
Aura helps you record information for your own reference. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Your diary data
Aura stores the information you choose to enter, including attack start and end times, pain levels and locations, symptoms, medication and doses, possible triggers, notes, and your preferences. When you enable weather, an entry may also include nearby pressure and a weather summary.
This information is used to provide your diary, calendar, reports, and available diary patterns. By default, it is stored locally on your device. Aura does not send your diary entries to a ForgeLyte-operated server. Your device backup settings may include app data in Apple backups.
Widgets and Live Activities can display current-entry information on system surfaces such as your Lock Screen. Consider who can see your screen when enabling these features. Optional reminders are delivered through iOS notifications.
Optional services and purchases
iCloud. If you enable Use iCloud, diary data is synchronized using Apple’s CloudKit in your private iCloud account. Apple processes and stores that data to provide the service under its own terms and privacy policy. Turning sync off does not delete data already in iCloud.
Location and weather. If you enable weather and allow location access, Aura uses your location while the app is in use to request nearby weather and pressure through Apple WeatherKit. Approximate location is sufficient. Coordinates are not saved in your diary; pressure values and weather summaries may be. You can revoke location permission in iOS Settings and disable weather in Aura.
Purchases. Apple handles payments. Aura uses RevenueCat to validate purchases, restore access, and manage Pro entitlements. RevenueCat processes purchase and subscription information, an app-generated user identifier, and technical information needed to operate its SDK, such as app and device details. Aura does not send your health diary entries to RevenueCat. ForgeLyte does not receive your full payment-card details.
Read the Apple privacy policy and RevenueCat privacy policy for information about their processing. These providers may process information in countries other than your own.
This website
This website is hosted on Vercel. When you visit, hosting infrastructure may process technical request information, including your IP address, browser information, requested pages, and timestamps, to serve and secure the website. See Vercel’s privacy policy.
We have not added advertising cookies, website analytics, or a tracking pixel. Fonts and app screenshots are served with the site. Clicking an App Store or other external link takes you to a service with its own privacy practices.
Retention and deletion
Local diary information remains until you delete entries or remove the app’s local data. You can delete individual entries from the Diary. With iCloud sync enabled, allow deletions to synchronize across your devices. Manage iCloud copies and device backups separately in your Apple Account’s iCloud settings. Disabling sync alone does not erase existing cloud copies.
Exported reports remain wherever you saved or shared them until you or their recipient delete them. Removing Aura does not cancel an Apple subscription.
Support correspondence is kept for as long as needed to resolve and follow up on your request and meet applicable obligations. Purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat are retained according to their policies and applicable requirements. Contact us to request deletion of information held by ForgeLyte; we may need to retain information for legal obligations or unresolved disputes.
Your choices and security
You can edit or delete diary entries, choose whether to enable iCloud, manage notification and location permissions in iOS Settings, and decide whether to export or share a report. No ForgeLyte account is created, so there is no separate Aura account to close.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, receive a copy of, or request deletion of personal information we hold, or object to certain processing. Email us to make a request. We may ask for information needed to verify your request. You may also contact your local privacy regulator.
We rely on iOS app storage protections and the security controls of the services described above. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Protect your device and Apple Account, and take care when sharing health reports.
Aura is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through support, contact us so we can address it.
